The Bay BMX was honored to do a Q&A with up and coming shredder from Lodi,Ca, Bryce Tryon. Bryce has made a big name for himself in the sport in a very short period of time. At only 11 years old, Bryce rides better then most guys in their 20's. His natural talent for bmx is astonishing, He has impressed so many people with his skills and kind personality, His ability to progress at such a fast rate at his age is pretty much unheard of. He has a huge assortment of tricks, Not only that, His style is smooth and confident and he does things with ease. Bryce has already met and rode with ton's of top name pro's, His talent didn't go unnoticed by sponsor's either. He has already picked up a ton of support from various Bike, Apparel,Protective gear & Shoe companies.

The whole bmx community is 110% supportive of Bryce, As well as every Pro in the sport. Not only that, He has the most amazingly supportive parents and family anyone could ask for. One thing is for certain, At this rate, Bryce Tryon will be known by bmxer's around the world, As a heavy hitter in record time, He also is a great role model for kid's entering the sport of bmx. This is only the beginning of huge accomplishments to come for him in the future. So without further introduction, Here is what Bryce had to say when i presented his questions.

#2. Do you have any hook ups/sponsors?

Yes I do. Cult Bikes, Vans/Protec, Fox and Lil' Mikey's Bees Wax.
Cult owner Robbie Morales knows talent when he see's it.So he support's bryce 100%! Here Bryce kicks it with Robbie & Cult's heavy hitter Dakota Roche.Photo Credit-From Bryce.

Being that Bryce is 11, The 20" is still a tad too large for him to ride comfortably, So here is Bryce's dialed Cult OS 18", Fitted with Cult parts & accessories, But don't be surprised if Bryce breaks out the 20" and barspins over your house! Photo Credit-From Bryce.

#3. What is your top 5 favorite spots to ride?

I like riding at: Ramp Rats in Santa Rosa, Mosqueda Bike park in Fresno, Mission Valley/Clairemont
in San Diego, Woodward West, Dennis Enarson's house and also Lodi Skate park
When Dennis Enarson held a jam for Mike Aitken at his parents house ramp set up in SD, Many big name riders from all over came to shred in the support of Mikey. Here Bryce does a Luc-E stall on Dennis's vert wall, Which basically made every person there at the jam jaws drop! Photo Credit-  Joshua Hayes of Defgrip
When Bryce rides in San Diego,He gets treated as one of the boys! Here he is taking a break in between riding with Daniel Mooney,Dennis Enarson,Chad Kerley and Devon Smillie. Most kids would give anything for this opportunity to hang with some of bmx's most elite pro's.Photo Credit- From Bryce.

#4. What got you interested in BMX? Also what age did you start riding at?

I got interested in BMX one day riding at my local skate park. I saw some kids doing trick's on
their bikes and thought hey I could do that! Been doing it ever since.
I started riding bikes when I was 3 1/2 years old just around my neighborhood, I would stand on the
seat and try doing tricks. At age 7 1/2 my Dad would take me to the skate park to ride my scooter
and I told him I wanted to bring my bike. He wouldn't let me for the longest time but I convinced
him. LOL! So probably like 8 years old at skate parks.
The second Bryce learned to walk, He was doing stunts on just about anything, He was born to shred!

Bryce's Parents are the most supportive and amazing people you could ever meet. All his Family, Friends, and Sponsors are 110% dedicated to supporting Bryce's riding and needs. With the amount of encouragement and support Bryce gets, Nothing can stop him now! Photo Credit- From Bryce.

#5. At your age, It is amazing how good you are on a bike,You have already progressed so much in a
short amount of time. How does it feel to have so many supporters,Friends and fans?

It feels really cool!! I am so lucky to have so many people support me and keep me motivated! I
love having so many different people to ride with that are better than me to feed off of. I really
enjoy watching the different styles. I really love style!!! It also makes me feel special the way
people look up to me.

#6.Who do you look up to as far as bmxer's go? Who influences you the most?

I really kinda look up to all the bmxer's. Each one has something different that I like. I learn so much from getting to ride with so many different people it's hard to pick! LOL.. Dennis Enarson,Chad Kerley,Chase Hawk,Drew Bezanson and Dakota Roche are the Pros that i really love their styles.

#7. What motivates you to keep progressing, Do you push yourself every time you ride?

I get motivated by watching all the different rider's with there style and techs. That's when I
want to get out there and try new tricks. No, I don't push myself all of the time. There are times
when I just want to get out there and flow. It is so fun just flowing around the whole park. Then
other times I get a trick in my head that I want to try and I will get on a mission to get it.

#8.You have met so many influential people and riders the last couple years. How does it feel to
meet all of these top pro's?Have they offered you any advice on tricks and stuff?

It feels really COOL!! It makes me feel very fortunate!Yes they do. Advice from them can really help especially since they are really good at what what they do. I like they way they treat me when I do have questions on some tricks. They also really support me and are always really cool.

doing any edits for your sponsors we should stay tuned for?

I have plans of getting out there and riding as many comps and events as possible, travel ,
learning new tricks and have FUN!!Yes I do have some new trick's that I am hoping to get.
I would love to get flairs, flip bars, double whips & any other tricks that might look cool to me.

Also on the Edit,Yes, My Cult edit should be dropping any time now! I also got a chance to ride with the Built to Shred crew and some of my clips made it on the show aired in February on Fuel TV. It's the one with the pumpkins for Halloween!!

#10. Whats a typical day like for you?Do you ride every chance you get or do you take breaks here
and there?

My typical day starts usually with going to school, coming home doing my homework, a little black
ops on my PS3 until my Dad gets home from work then we go to the skate park to ride for a bit.
If it's the weekend we usually go ride at different parks depending on the weather. If it's nice
out we will hit outdoor parks but if it's raining we will go to Ramp Rats to ride.
No I don't ride every chance I get, sometimes we will just chill.
