Solid Bikes & Auviq Team rider Nick Black Q&A




Solid Bikes & Auviq Team rider Nick Black was down to do a Q&A with TheBayBmx.
Nick is originally from Oroville,Ca.He is one of Solid's most talented street shredders.He does some big grinds and burly combos.Here is what Nick had to say when i asked him his questions,Thanks again Nick.



1.What's your Name, Age, And where do you currently reside?

 Nick- Nick Black,23 yrs old and i live in Hillsboro, Oregon

2.Do you have any hook ups?Also What is your bike set up?

 Nick- Ya i ride for Solid bikes and Auviq and get help from a local shop back home in Oroville,Ca Greenline cycles.I ride A 20.75 KING COBRA,with uncut 8 1/4 bars with death grips on an og Solid stem,attached to some cracked Primo Kamikazee forks,4 Solid pegs,Primo pro front hub on a 7k balance,lsd 8t Primo mix hub on some shitty ass new Primo rim.Primo hub gaurd,Shadow chain,24t Solid sprocket,Solid bitch cranks 170's,clear plastic Odyssey pedals,tan wall Fit faf tires.

3. Tell us a little how you got into riding and what kind of riding do you enjoy most?

Nick- I always rode a bike around and had old beater dirt bikes,But when i was younger i got kicked out of one school around 6th grade.Then i started 7th grade at another school and one of my close friends at the new school rode and just got me into it.I have been riding ever since.
I definably prefer street but dont mind riding a skatepark with the homies and a forty.

4. Do you have any favorite spots or recent memories of spots you enjoyed?

Nick- I like Davis campus a lot, It has anything you want when it comes to rails and ledges,The whole Solid Az trip was one big fun spot and memory.


5.If you could change anything about bmx what would it be and why?

Nick- Just make it less cool,Everyone just chill out have fun,smoke one,remember were riding little kids bikes not slanging crack in harlem

6.Who inspired your style of riding and who did you look up to coming up in the game?

Nick- The people that inspired me and my style was the people i first started riding with,Big Red(Red worm,Dubya,aka Ryan Stephens)Kurtis Elwell,Kory Smith,Robert Kables,and Dert Mgrt. I looked up to all the people doin there thing....grindin somethin.

7. Would you like to give any shout outs?

Nick- Ya I'd like to give a shout out to the homies in the fives,North to the south,Greenline cycles in Oroville,Aaron Huff and Jase at Solid bikes,And the homies from Auviq,And all the homies in the Bay and Sac,stay lit.
