Solid Bikes team rider Nick Hammer Q&A

                                                                     Shot by Wes Klien
Solid's Nick Hammer was down to do a q&a with TheBayBmx.Nick is one of Solid's Og shredders.Hailing from Petaluma,Ca Nick shreds park, trails and street and has had some kick ass video parts.I sent him over some questions and here is what he had to say.He also went of of his way to have a fresh pic taken today at the Petaluma park,Thanks Nick.

1.What's your Name, Age, And where do you currently reside?

Nick- Nick Hammer, 28 years young, living in Petaluma CA.

2.Do you have any hook ups? Also What is your bike set up?

Nick- I ride for Solid Bikes and Thrillseeker Brand. Currently on a 21" King Cobra frame with the 8.666 bars, Solid stem and pegs, Primo fork, cranks, seat and grips, Animal clamp, headset and pedals, Zorg sprocket, G-sport wheels and Fit tires. Simple, lightweight and smooth.

3.Tell us a little how you got into riding and what kind of riding do you enjoy most?

Nick-I started out racing my uncle used to take me to a nearby track when i was about ten. Haven't stopped since except for getting hurt. After racing for a few years i started noticing other kids in town that rode, we got jumps going in Brian's yard and pretty much learned all your basic moves and bike control. Jumps got plowed, people moved on and now i enjoy the concrete park and ride mainly there and the streets.

4.Do you have any favorite spots or recent memories of spots you enjoyed?

Nick-San Fran as a whole is going to be my favorite place to ride, so many things left to do there the possibilities are endless. I also had an amazing time in AZ. with some other dudes from the Solid team. AZ. has SPOTS for days...

5.If you could change anything about bmx what would it be and why?

Nick-It seems to be getting a little emo and serious, everyone needs to relax and have fun. Worry about what your doing, not what i'm doing.

6.Who inspired your style of riding and who did you look up to coming up in the game?
Nick- Soil, Domination, Blueprint, any of the Ells vids. Joey Garcia, BF, T1 dudes, all the real G's you know.

7.Would you like to give any shout outs? Yeah thanks Huff and anyone that has anything to do with Solid, my parents for making me, tite friends you know who you are, and if you don't your not my friend haha. Rest in peace Josh Heibel 11-28-85 5-2-10 love and miss you everyday bro. PEACE

3.Tell us a little how you got into riding and what kind of riding do you enjoy most?

Colby-I got into riding from copying everything my older brother did. But I didn't really get into stunt jumping until I was in 9th grade from my friend John bowers. He talked me into stop skateboarding and just ride Bmx. I enjoy riding dirt and parks but ive been known to jump some gaps and do some rails. Not just white ones haha.

4.Do you have any favorite spots or recent memories of spots you enjoyed?

Colby- favorite spots would have to be the trails or a good park or just kickin it at the clock tower. As far as memories uhh just having some beers and riding.

5.If you could change anything about bmx what would it be and why?

Colby- if I could change anything in Bmx it would just for everyone to get along and if you talk shit on the come up that you should have to fist fight the person. I know it's a double negative but big whoop. Ha

6.Who inspired your style of riding and who did you look up to coming up in the game?

Colby-dude so many people. But the dudes who got me going was og Cody brown, kurtis, John bowers. Kevin oldschool. Jake from Oroville. My older bro. Dax at greenline. Hammer. Aaron huff. Up and coming oh man. People better look out for D block on the trails. Ha.I'm joking t block. I don't know kids are way to good these days.

7.Would you like to give any shout outs?
